This is a list of scents from the Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab (http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com); hand-mixed perfume oils. It's an expensive habit, but an addictive one - she works with so many different ingredients, and her blends are amazing. I use them mostly as perfume, but sometimes as room scents or ritual oils, depending on the day.

As the size of the list indicates, I give the Lab waaaay too much of my money. :)

Bastet is lovely. I got an imp and now I am awaiting a 5 ML bottle because it smells like sunshine in a bottle!

Jaime, I wish I'd known you liked Absinthe! A friend of mine got an imp, thought it smelled like ass, and just threw it out! I would have persuaded her to let you have it!

I'm waiting on Pele as well - I love white florals.

Awww! That's okay ... Absinthe isn't one of my all-time faves; I like the imp well enough, but it probably won't be anything I buy a big bottle of.

Bastet is almond, myrrh, saffron, amber, lotus and cardamom - very spicy. Wet, it smells like cherry cough drops! But that vanishes as soon as it is dry and is replaced by a lovely amber/almond/spice. I tend to like scents with amber - I really love SWEET smells - and this smells good on me and lasts a long time.

Mmmmmm. That sounds pretty heavenly, actually. I'm an amber freak, and I like my scents more spicy than flowery. I'll have to definitely keep that one in mind!

I have a 10mL of O that I've been using to decant imps for people, because I decided not long after ordering it that there's just something in the honey scents that doesn't agree with me. It's a shame, because I do love it in the bottle. Anyway, there are about 4mL left in the bottle and I'd be happy to pass it on to you if you would like.

Ok... going back and reading some of your old entries, now that I know what you're talking about... heh.

I'm surprized that most of the ones on your list of "I don't like this" are ones that didn't catch my attention enough to make me make note of the name. :) In fact, there are only 3 that I did want to try, and 2 of the 3 were ones I was considering getting Imps of. Specifically: Undertow, Brisingamen, and Hurricane.

The ones I REALLY like the sound of are Highwayman, Dirty, Lady of Shalott, Phantom, Szepasszony, and Haunted. I'm kind of amused by the fact that although 3 of the 6 contain musk of some sort, they're otherwise all pretty different from one another.

Ok... babbling now. Need to go to sleep. :)
