Aug. 2nd, 2007 10:16 amIf you're in the Twin Cities area, you can call the Red Cross at 1-800-448-3543 to schedule an appointment to donate blood. They're currently reporting a severe shortage of type O blood, so if you're type O and can possibly give blood, I encourage you to do so!
The Minneapolis Red Cross location is currently closed, as it's right next to the bridge. The St. Paul location, however, is open and gratefully taking donors. Otherwise, you can call Memorial Blood Centers at (651) 332-7000; they have several locations in the area as well.
