My gosh, this was vivid! I confess, I started reading it once, and thought based on the very opening that it was going to be a very different sort of story, and put it aside. I am glad I rethought that decision (it didn't take long -- I only found this a few days ago), because wow. I love how you mixed in the fantastic/magical details with the real world and "canon" details; I love how you portrayed the fae -- William and Spencer especially, the coldness and the bitterness and the resignation, and also the anger and jealousy. And Brendon, giving up at the end, was so sad and curled-in!

The tension in the "fight" scene (Jon et al, and the Queen) had me for reals waving my hands and squeaking. You wound it up really well. And the mood of the ending -- the reprieve that won't last -- leaves me delighted, in the dark way that these things do. Thank you!
