I do like Elena, but I've missed enough of that series that I'd have to catch up first. I read Dark Side of the Moon a while back - interesting stuff, but I have my issues with some of it. I haven't read any James Patterson, actually, but I may have to check him out!
Oh, the computer's coming with me for writing. :) It's just hard to write in airports ... and on the way home, I have to sit in Detroit for more than three hours! Meep!
