Playing the holiday wish list meme game again this year. :) This year, though, I'm requesting all online/fannish stuff - I'm still happily purging my physical belongings, and I'm the kind of person who really buys anything I want/need for myself on my own. But I always love fannish happiness! :D
Step One
* Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
* If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
* Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
* Surf around your friendslist (or friends friends, or just random journals, or![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
holiday_wishes / wish_list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
1) Pete/Patrick fic. Happy endings a must. :) AUs are generally my favorite. (That goes for most of my bandom-related fic requests, JSYK. :D)
2) Killjoys-verse MCR fic. There is not enough playing around in our shiny canon post-apocalyptic AU! (Except by![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
tuesdaysgone. ;))
3) MCR fic that features Mikey as one of the main characters. (No Waycest, though, please.)
4) Bandom (FOB or MCR) het fic. Genderswap someone, use one of the canon female characters ... I don't care, I just want girls involved somewhere. :D
5) A new header for my LJ. And someone patient enough to explain to me how to install it. :D I would take something bandom-related, or something Inception-related, Doctor Who-related, or even just some kind of lovely stock art or photos or whatever. I'm not overly picky!
6) New icons. I'd take 'em for anything you know I'm currently into! (I'm off to update my profile here in a few to properly reflect where I'm at. ;))
7) Inception fic - Arthur/Ariadne, Eames/Ariadne, or OT3, I will take any of them!
8) Doctor Who fic - pretty much any shenanigans featuring Amy, Rory, and Eleven would make me happy. Bonus points if it's OT3. :D
9) Fanmixes or fanart for any one of my stories. I've always had a secret(ish) desire for someone to make something for one of my stories outside of a big bang!
10) A vid. This is the last request because I know it's the most unlikely one - I know vidding is a hard, time-consuming task, which is why I've never learned it myself. But I do spend a ridiculous amount of time listening to songs and going "...ooooh, that'd make a fantastic [FANDOM X] vid!!" So, just in case someone might feel inspired or something, I've uploaded some songs below that I've been wanting vids to forever. :D
a-ha - Slender Frame. (lyrics) This would make a PERFECT new-school Doctor Who vid. I picture it as a montage of all three recent Doctors with their companions.
Adam Lambert - For Your Entertainment. Okay, it was eitherthunderemerald or pinkfinity (or maybe both of them) who talked about this last year, but ever since I saw the conversation I have TOTALLY wanted to see a DW Ten/Master vid to this song. Because, come on, this is totally a song for the Master. It would be HILARIOUS. :D
Astronautalis - The Wondersmith and His Sons. (lyrics) I was introduced to this song (viasister_wolf by the amazing SPN vid that uses it. But, once I got into Leverage this year, I started picturing a vid for that fandom, focusing on Nate's not-entirely-healthy influence on his younger team members.
... yeah, I know I have more, but those are the ones that come to mind. :D
